The 2010 Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation New England Black Belt Camp and Regional Dan Shim Sa took place over the May 21st-23rd weekend. This was the 4th annual event of its kind in the New England region. The setting was YMCA Camp Woodstock in the Northeastern hills of Connecticut, where the picturesque background set the stage for a wonderful and productive time. Some 20 test candidates brought their skills and talents to the test center on Friday evening and performed admirably for the test panel.

On the weekend of April 23-25, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its annual championships and spring cycle black belt test. The event was hosted by Mr. Randall Leverett of Amory, Mississippi, who was also among those testing for Sam Dan on Friday, April 23. Both the test and the tournament took place at the Hope Church in Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis Presley.

The Fall New England Regional APTSDF Dan Shim Sa took place on Friday, October 9^th at the Southbury Academy of Karate in picturesque Southbury, Connecticut. The Regional Championships proceeded the very next day with participant ranks ranging from tiny tigers and pee wees all the way to senior black belts. Both events took place with high expectations which were both met and exceeded in a seamless fashion. 

Two martial arts Federation founders from across the world came together to kick-off Kwan Jang Nim John St. James’s Vision Tour of the Southeastern and Northeastern United States recently. Kwan Jang Nim St. James, founder of the Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation and Kwan Jang Nim Stephen Washington of the Asia Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation joined forces for the nearly three week tour.

On the weekend of July 10-12, 2009, the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation held its annual Southeastern Regional Black Belt Camp. It was the first camp held at Children’s Harbor on Alabama’s Lake Martin, as well as the first ever to welcome red belts. Seven masters and two master’s candidates were present, apart from Grandmaster John St. James, the President and Founding Master of the APTSDF.

On May 8, 2009, the Southeastern region of the Atlantic -Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its annual spring black belt test at the Family Church in Sugar Hill, GA. The testing panel included Grandmaster John St. James and the Southeastern Regional Masters and Master’s Candidates. The physical test opened with the announcement of the high scores on the written exam. The high scorer among the children was Sabrina Edwards of Karate World.

May 2009 - The 3^rd annual New England Regional APTSDF Black Belt Camp took place from May 15^th-17^th, 2009 at the picturesque YMCA Camp Jewell in the mountains of Northwestern Connecticut at Colebrook.  This now being the 3^rd annual event, we in the New England region have come to expect nothing short of an inspirational, motivational, and highly educational experience.  These expectations were met and surpassed by far. Over 90 participants of all ages with ranks from red belt to Senior Masters joined with Grandmaster St. James for a spectacular weekend.

The Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation, headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia recently hosted their annual Ko Dan Ja or Master’s Clinic. Masters and Master’s candidates from across the U.S. traveled to the annual Ko Dan Ja and spent four (4) days focusing on the history, tradition, culture, philosophy, and physical skills related to the ancient art of Tang Soo Do. The clinic took place from Thursday, March 26^th to Sunday, March 29th at Federation headquarters in Suwanee. 

On the weekend over November 7, 8, and 9, 2008, the southeastern region of the Atlantic-Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation had its fifth annual Black Belt Camp in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama. About 120 martial artists were in attendance, over half of them participated in the Dan Shim Sa which opened the camp on Friday night.
